MSS discusses packaging documentation with beauty and other SME exporters

An official 22 October briefing describes an exporter meeting, compliance support and planned regional training.

27 October 2026 — Korea's Ministry of SMEs and Startups reported on 22 October that it met SME representatives and experts on 20 October to discuss preparation for the EU's Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation. The release says beauty, food and packaging businesses were represented and identifies testing costs, supplier information and technical documents as concerns raised by companies.

Support and preparation, not a product certification

The ministry describes financial and technical assistance and plans training and consultations in five Korean regions from 16 to 25 November. Readers seeking business support should use the official release for eligibility, deadlines and current programme details. This article reports the meeting; it is not legal advice about a particular package or a certification of THE CAST's products.

THE CAST shopping perspective

Packaging information matters to a buyer in more ordinary ways too: it identifies the exact contents, explains use and helps distinguish a refill from a complete product. A material or environmental claim should be tied to the particular package, not assumed from the reputation of the brand or a general government initiative.

International shoppers also need a confirmed destination and order total. A discussion about export readiness does not mean every product can be delivered to every country. Our carry-home-versus-ship-home guide separates travel deadlines from later international ordering decisions. Keep the original label and relevant product details with your purchase, and check the store's current delivery options rather than reading a policy headline as an individual shipping promise.
