27 October 2026 — The 2026 Osong Cosmetics & Beauty Expo, held at OSCO in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, from 22 to 24 October, recorded about USD 269.82 million in export consultations, according to a Newspim report published on 25 October. That was 14.3 percent more than last year. Deals at the contract stage were reported at about USD 96.95 million.
Scale of the event
The report says 254 Korean and international companies exhibited, exceeding a target of 240, and that the number of overseas exhibitors rose from six last year to 25. About 17,400 people visited, and 529 buyers took part, including 200 invited buyers from 37 countries. Seoul Economic Daily's opening-day report also mentioned AI skin-analysis and DIY perfume experiences for visitors.
What the numbers mean
Export consultation value measures business discussions held at the event. It is different from signed orders, shipments or retail sales, and it does not indicate when any product discussed will reach a particular market. Contract-stage amounts should likewise be read as reported progress rather than completed trade.
Trade fairs are where many smaller Korean brands meet distributors before appearing in overseas stores. Our conference-news guide explains how to separate an event appearance from evidence about an individual product.
