K-Beauty eyeliner: compare pencil, liquid and gel formats

Use the tip, sharpening requirements, shade and removal instructions to compare eyeliner listings. Verify that the product is intended for the eye area.

Choosing an eyeliner starts with the exact product and shade, not only a photograph of a finished look. Pencil, liquid and gel descriptions can narrow a Korean beauty search, but the listing still needs to explain the package and the way the product is meant to be used.

Check how the tip is prepared

For a pencil, find out whether it twists up or requires sharpening. Confirm whether a sharpener is included, sold separately or not mentioned. For a liquid format, look for the actual tip shown in the product details. For a pot format, check whether the order includes a brush. A promotional image can show tools that are not part of the selected option.

Compare shades before comparing a demonstration

Record the shade code and the written color name together. Two items described simply as brown may be different options. Compare demonstration images with similar lighting and line thickness, and keep the reference product name beside the image. The photo alone cannot establish an identical finish on every wearer.

Read the intended-use information

FDA eye-cosmetic guidance advises against substituting a lip liner for an eye liner. Check the intended use on the actual label, and do not infer it from similar packaging. Removal instructions also belong to the exact product: a general video is not a replacement for those directions.

Use the questions in this guide when reviewing Korean beauty listings or contacting THE CAST support. Ask about one identifiable item and option. The guide does not confirm that every eyeliner format is stocked; the current catalog and product page are the place to check availability.
