THE CAST

Read parcel tracking as a sequence of events

Distinguish a tracking number, a carrier scan and a delivery update without turning them into an unsupported arrival promise.

Identify the source of the update

Start with the tracking link supplied for your order and confirm the carrier shown there. A store order status and a carrier event describe different parts of the process. Creating a tracking number does not, by itself, tell you that every later transport step has happened.

Read the latest event together with its date, time and location. Save the exact wording if you need help. A translated status label can be broad, so the carrier's own explanation is the best place to clarify an unfamiliar event.

Follow the timeline rather than one word

Compare successive events to understand what has changed. An arrival at a facility, a handover and a delivery attempt are different events. International parcels may also involve a destination carrier, whose tracking page can provide additional detail when that handover is shown.

An interval without a new scan is not enough information to invent either a loss diagnosis or a guaranteed delivery date. Check the carrier's current guidance and any service information relevant to your shipment before drawing a conclusion.

Prepare a useful support request

If an update is unclear, provide the order reference, tracking number and latest event through the private support route. Explain what you need to know, such as the meaning of a status or how to respond to a delivery attempt.

For a parcel marked delivered that you cannot locate, review the carrier's delivery details and contact the appropriate support channel. Keep screenshots and timestamps. Avoid posting your address or full tracking history publicly while seeking help.
