Can't find a Korean beauty brand online? Search the Korean name and its spellings
A Korean brand may be listed by an English name, a Korean name or a romanised spelling. Try all three and the exact product name before deciding it isn't sold.
Compare products in this guide
Many searches for Korean beauty fail on spelling rather than availability. A brand can appear under a stylised English name, a name in the Korean alphabet, or a romanised form that changes from one site to the next. Before concluding that a product is not sold anywhere, run a few deliberate searches.
Three names to try for every brand
- The English brand name exactly as printed on the package, in quotation marks
- The Korean-alphabet name, typed both with and without a space between words
- A romanised spelling of the Korean name, plus the product type, such as scent oil or cushion
Autocorrection can also send you somewhere else. On 29 October 2026, an English search for SOOYA on Olive Young's Korean store was redirected to a brand with a similar spelling. The redirect looked like a result, but it was a different company.
When one brand has two Korean spellings
Transliteration is not standardised. On THE CAST, NBPSIS product names appear with two Korean spellings that differ only in the first vowel, roughly en-bi-pi-si-seu and aen-bi-pi-si-seu. A shop's search box may match one and miss the other, so try both before giving up.
Search for the product, not only the brand
Copy the full product name, the option and the stated quantity from a product page. A search for Scent Oil Lilac Veil 50ml is far more precise than a brand name alone. THE CAST shows Korean and English product names together on its listings, which makes it easier to carry the right identity to another search or to a customer-service enquiry.
Check the brand's own channels
If a brand is young, its official website, social accounts and launch announcements usually list where it sells. Use those first-party sources to confirm stockists, then compare the exact listing and delivered cost at the shop you choose.
