Sangsangin Securities expects LG H&H's cosmetics business to return to profit in Q3

Sangsangin Securities forecast KRW 718.5 billion in cosmetics revenue and a KRW 21.6 billion operating profit for LG H&H in Q3, ahead of the company's results.

Published

29 October 2026 — Sangsangin Securities upgraded LG Household & Health Care to a buy rating and raised its target price from KRW 330,000 to KRW 350,000, Global Economic reported on 27 October. The company had not published its own third-quarter results at the time of the report.

The forecast

Analyst Song Ji-yeon forecast consolidated third-quarter revenue of KRW 1,628.4 billion, up 3.1 per cent, and operating profit of KRW 93.1 billion, roughly double a year earlier but below the market consensus. The cosmetics business was expected to post revenue of KRW 718.5 billion, up 8.5 per cent, and an operating profit of KRW 21.6 billion, a return to profit.

Reasons given

The preview cited weaker China sales during an off-season with less live streaming, the removal of Avon from consolidated results since September, slower growth for the Dr.Groot hair-care brand against a high base, and higher marketing costs. The analyst said the recent fall in the share price had created more room for gains.

THE CAST shopping perspective

A broker's forecast is an estimate, and the company's reported figures may differ. Group results also say little about a single product on your shelf. For shoppers, the practical questions stay the same: the exact product, its label, the current price and the delivered total.
